uterine anteroventral pouch [FBbt_00052078]

Anteroventral invagination of the uterus holding the opening of the seminal receptacle (Adams and Wolfner, 2007; McQueen et al., 2022). It is separated from the uterine anterodorsal pouch by the uterine anterior projection (Adams and Wolfner, 2007; McQueen et al., 2022).
