Adult leg muscle located dorsally within the distal tibia, attaching to the proximal tarsus via the tarsal levator tendon (Soler et al., 2004). It flexes the tibia-tarsus joint, which lowers the fly’s body when standing (Azevedo et al., 2024). It is composed of 8 to 10 fibers (Soler et al., 2004).
