Segmentally-repeated premotor neuron (Burgos et al., 2018) that is early-born in the NB1-2 Notch ON primary hemilineage (Mark et al., 2021). From a lateral soma, it crosses the midline and extends laterally and posteriorly, with predominantly contralateral pre- and post-synapses (Kohsaka et al., 2019; Zarin et al., 2019). It is cholinergic and is active during forwards fictive locomotion (Kohsaka et al., 2019). Its input synapses are mainly in the same neuromere as the soma and its output synapses, including to premotor neurons, are mainly in the next posterior neuromere (Kohsaka et al., 2019).
